It was revealed to me by an intuition, and music was the driving force behind it. My discovery was the result of that musical perception. |

KINDERGARTEN › music
Music stimulates minds, encourages creativity and helps set the foundations for the type of acquisition which triggers the development of intelligence and attitudes.
There is a strong positive correlation between music acquisition and the development of those qualities that children need to be successful in life: self-discipline, patience, sensitivity, coordination, and the ability to memorize and concentrate. They are all abilities which can be reinforced by the study or the mere exposition to music.
Plato once said "music is the most powerful tool of the educator."
Now scientists know why. Music trains the brain to higher forms of thought.
After about 8 months of exposure to music, it's been proved that three years old become expert puzzles composers, and are 80% better at spatial intelligence - the ability to see the world correctly. Later, this ability further develops into technical, conceptual and mathematical abilities.
Scientists at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston have discovered that the brain of 30 musicians with an impeccable ear, had cerebral structures of the left hemisphere significantly above average in size.
All the 30 musicians said to have been approaching music before they turned seven. The probability to develop a perfect ear after age ten is zero.
A number of studies have demonstrated that children are born with musical abilities. However, as time goes by without using these natural abilities, the higher the possibility of loosing it for good.
The reason is neurological, by age 11 all the neuronal circuits which allow for all types of perceptive and sensorial discrimination, like rhythm and a good ear, shut down irreversibly. Finally, a study conducted at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, has proved that the simple active exposure to music develops cognitive processes that involve reasoning and language acquisition. |
